Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Form fitting clothes are best. If the clothes are too loose they tend to get wrapped up in the fabric and impede certain skills. We recommend that you wear a shirt that covers the arm pits and pants that cover the knees. Shorts and tank tops are acceptable but tend to get unconfortable as the fabric can cause burns. However try to avoid long pants that cover the ankles are they will make climbing much harder.

What should I NOT wear?

Loose fitting clothing, although for the first couple of classes they won't cause any problems. No jewelry is permitted on the fabrics are rings, bracelets, eerings, etc. can get caught in the fabric and rip holes. We recommend you stay away from lotion as well because it will cause your hands to be slick.

Is there an age limit?

Although there is an age limit in our adult classes (you must be 14 or older, or have permission from the instructor), there is no age limit for the all ages class. We believe that no matter how old you are, what fitness background you come from, or where you are in life, everyone deserves the joys of flying! Classes are small and the instructor is well trained to make sure everyone feels confident and accomplished at the end of each class.

Is it safe?

Safety is always Hang In There's number one concern. We make sure that all our equipment is rated to hold at least 4,000lbs and that everything is checked reqularly. Crash mats are always used during classes. Classes are small to ensure that students get the attention they need and new skills are always practiced low to the ground before moving up in the air.

I'm not sure this is for me, can I try one class without making a commitment?

Of course! Drop in classes are $20. If you decide aerials are for you, you can always continue to pay the $20 every class or buy an 8 week pass for $145. We also give you  $10 off your purchase with every new friend you bring to the studio!
